Introduction : We always have knowledge and expectations of the past and the future, but we often ignore the present. However, “now” is what you really have. How to grasp the present? This requires us to make a successful plan, and use the standard of success for every day, every month, every job, every year. Don’t let it go and don’t ask for quality.

“Now” is what you really have
When I was in school, I asked many classmates for three words to let everyone write their feelings. These three words are “past”, “present” and “future”.
The answer my classmates gave me is: the past is a good memory, and the future is a bright future. For the present, the students seem to feel that there is nothing to describe, now is now, there is nothing to say.
Such a simple question can reflect the basic situation of most people. We have knowledge and expectations of the past and the future, but we often ignore the present.
If you emphasize the past, you are actually a lazy guy, because you are so stubborn about the past and never forget the achievements you have made; if you emphasize the future and place all expectations in the future, you are actually cowardly because you dare not face it. Now, pushing everything into the unknown future is looking for excuses to escape reality.
The only way to be strong is to face the present, and only the present can be grasped. So a slogan I have always liked is: start with me, start now.
Yu Minhong, the founder of Sharing New Oriental, said at the Peking University graduation ceremony:
“A person’s life is a life of struggle, but some people have a great life, and some people have a very trivial life. If we have a great ideal and a kind heart, we will be able to save many trivial days. Stacked together, it becomes a great life. But if you are mediocre every day, without ideals, and stop progressing from now on, then the days of your life in the future will always be a pile of trivial piles up.”

Make a successful plan
To grasp now, we need to make a successful plan. Do every day, every month, every job, every year, with the standard of success, don’t just pass it by, don’t ask for quality.
In other words, you must emphasize quality in everything you do. The true success lies in the fact that everything this person does is of quality and quality, and only such a person will have taste.
Determining the plan needs to start with goal setting. After the goal is set, time and inspection standards need to be arranged. Past observations have taught me that most people will ignore the inspection standards, forget about the schedule, and what is worse is that they will not plan.
Summarizes the past, and “plan” plans the future. People who write summaries but not plans will become people who have only the “past” but no “future”. In the daily management of enterprises, there will be a working method called OGSM-T. This method is also applicable to our individual daily study and life.
Objectives: That is, you need to confirm your direction. What do you need to achieve. Usually refers to a long-term time frame (such as 4 years); usually refers to one field or at most two fields, and a qualitative description of the core field; the purpose usually comes from self-creation, direction guidance, and mission positioning.
Goals: How to measure progress in achieving goals. Make quantitative indicators for the purpose; track periodically (quarterly or monthly); try to report with charts. The goal should be clear, quantifiable, achievable and consistent with the goal.
Strategy: Strategy refers to how to achieve goals. “Strategy” usually includes the tools used, core issues and key success factors; “purpose” is the decision and direction, “strategy” is the choice made to achieve the “objective” and its “objective”; “strategy” cannot be too many, otherwise It will lose its focus and spread resources. Usually limited to five or less.
Measures: You can measure what you care about; only by measuring what you want can you get it; without measurement, there is no management. The measurement criteria should be clear, quantifiable, achievable and consistent with the purpose and objectives.
Action plan: Refers to specific activities or projects, completing these activities will gain a competitive advantage. Steps: write down all the things that must be done to achieve the goal; responsibility: who is responsible for each step; support: what is expected and whose help; time: the time frame for the start and completion of each step, or the sequence of the process; each month Evaluation: Track the progress and make timely adjustments if there is a gap.
This is the most commonly used tool in business management. If you can use it in your daily life, you will definitely reap the benefits and benefit for life.
