Of course, there is also the joy of success. I am very fortunate that it took me ten years to complete my career positioning and improve my overall strength. This is not a long ten years, but it is the best ten years in my life. When I was young, I longed for the title of engineer. In fact, an engineer in a narrow sense is a very simple thing. In the third year after graduating from a bachelor’s degree, you can take the title examination and get a certificate. Even if you are an engineer, a colleague or supplier calls you a certain job. Distracted and comfortable, but everyone knows that calling you so and so is just out of courtesy. If you do not pay attention to your own style of being a person and doing things, others will look down on you from the bottom of their hearts! Of course, just being able to do things is not enough to be called a good engineer. A good engineer must have problem solving ability, design ability, process ability, team building and management ability, project control ability, etc. I will talk about my understanding from specific aspects below.

1. Become an engineer who can stand alone in the automotive industry. It takes time to get out. Don’t expect to become a senior in three to five years.

The automobile industry involves many professional fields. The four major production processes of automobiles are commonly referred to as stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly. If you study in a flashy way, you can only get some fur. In terms of job functions, design engineers, quality engineers, process engineers and other positions have different requirements. I think it is difficult to become a good engineer without ten years of training in this industry. Some people say that there is no way out to be an engineer for a lifetime. In fact, it is difficult to measure the success or failure of a career. How much money does it make? Happiness at work? What does society need for you? The psychological satisfaction of the self? Including these, but not only these.

There is a sentence that can be aptly stated, only the feet know whether the shoes are suitable. I think it’s good for you to be happy, and you just like it, don’t care too much about secular concepts. It is undeniable that many engineers who have worked on the frontline for a long time and have rich engineering experience finally go to do management work, but I believe that if you are not an excellent engineer, it is difficult to manage a technical team handily.

2. In terms of professional skills, I don’t want to discuss how much of what I learned at university can be useful in work

I once told my juniors and sisters that one of the subjects that can be directly applied to work in the university is mechanical drawing. I think my professional knowledge comes from work practice in the past ten years. I must remember that I don’t think I understand. The working principle of the engine, you can design the engine, don’t think that you can use professional software such as UG, CATIA, Pro/E, etc., and you will be mechanical design. There are many factors to consider in the design of a simple part. Several design considerations, the forming process of stamping parts, including the treatment of the bending radius, the design of the crack arrest groove, whether the material is easy to discharge during blanking, the life of the punch, and whether the plastic part is set to a reasonable drawing Mold angle, whether the material is PP, ABS or nylon 6 (66), the range defined by the skin texture area, in addition, whether the relevant boundary conditions are fully considered, there are some invisible problems, the strength of the structural parts, the total weight The control, dynamic frequency analysis and a series of problems. This requires us to have the opportunity to grow with a certain project and improve ourselves through specific work. I will describe the specific content separately in the following sections.

3. Talk about career positioning. If you have just graduated for one or two years, you must plan your own career. That is nonsense.

The severe employment situation does not allow you to choose a career. Do it wherever you have a job, and support yourself before discussing career planning. If you have graduated for four years, or even longer, you have changed a lot of jobs, which industry you want to be If you don’t know what to do, you need to think about it, list your own preferences, list your strengths and weaknesses, and integrate your previous experience.

Plan your own career well! Make a five-year plan for yourself. The sooner you do this plan, the better. Even if you are a wage earner, you must also be a worker who understands a little bit, and does something with a plan. Don’t waste the years. The wages are still not as good as possible. Pleasant.

In many cases, your positioning may be greatly influenced by the outside world. One day you will meet with classmates and listen to the sales classmates talking about commissions, year-end awards, and talking about the elegance and luxury of receiving customers. You just want to do sales. You have never considered whether you have the potential and advantages of doing sales, but you have seen the bright side of sales, without considering the difficulties and pressures of sales. Therefore, do not blindly follow your career positioning, you must have a process of rational thinking and comprehensive consideration.

4. Talk about mentality

We often involuntarily compare with others, with people in other industries, with jobs, incomes, houses, and cars. There are nothing more than two results: you are very proud (secretly proud), you are very frustrated (want to give up), give up your current job (but you often dare not give up, you have to think about what to do tomorrow), give up this industry.

Just when you were indecisive, you started to shirk your work and felt that the company was treating you badly. You paid a lot but got very little. I used to stay in a company (let’s call M company) for four years, often working overtime, on May 1st and November 11th, I mostly accompany foreign engineers, debug equipment, freeze product data, and accompany them to inspect suppliers, sometimes for To solve the deformation problem of a plastic part, I debugged the mold with the supplier until 3 am, and continuously experimented with mold temperature, pressure and other process parameters.

I dare not discuss my salary with my classmates, I feel inferior! I hesitated. Should I change my career or change jobs. After I calmed down and analyzed the situation, I decided to stay. I think this company still has something I haven’t learned. In this high-consumption city, I took a very low salary for four years, but I am very grateful. In that company, I have been familiar with the TS16949 process in the past four years. I can quickly analyze problems on site and make emergency measures immediately. I have the opportunity to communicate and cooperate with the engineers of various OEMs, and learn how to do it effectively. Communicate with customers, how to do a good job of technical clarification with suppliers.

In fact, sometimes, if you have to understand this way, a loss is not necessarily a loss. In those four years, others may have regarded me as a loss, but looking back now, there is no loss at the beginning, and I may not succeed in changing jobs in the future. It’s best to have a few years of experience that seemed to be losing out in your first six years. That will be the first pot of gold for your professional ability. Keep a good attitude and accumulate for thin hair.

5. Talk about job-hopping

I believe that some people with work experience in this industry have experienced job-hopping, or value the salary offered, or value having a position of their choice, or the reputation of the new owner in the industry. There are thousands of reasons, which are understandable. We want to get married and have a house. Who doesn’t want a high salary to support our family. But job-hopping is very knowledgeable. HR will not favor the workplace dragonfly (always on the water, changed several in a year), carefully evaluate your own situation in this company, whether there is room for improvement, and can help Do you have a great help in terms of ability and professionalism, do you handle the relationship with your colleagues properly, do the company’s management practices, etc. list a series of questions, then start scoring, and finally decide to keep the total score.

Once you have to leave, pay attention to low-key and don’t publicize, so as not to cause passivity to the company, one month in advance, we must be professionals in the workplace, everything must be regulated, work as usual during this month, and do the relevant handover work. It’s best to make a list of handovers and list the conditions of your projects one by one to reflect a good professionalism. Maybe after you left this company for several years, your original colleagues often miss you. When I ask Before the HR of M company submitted the resignation report, I had a conversation with the company’s CEO. When I talked about my intention to resign, he was surprised. (The company has five technical projects in charge of the technical content). I did not expect that I would leave and pick up The scene that came down was very old-fashioned. I asked for conditions and tried my best to keep me. I showed my attitude. Do not jump to competitors, in line with professional ethics, do not disclose any technical secrets, do a good job of handover within one month, and then my job was taken over by three young engineers, I was joking with the HR manager, if it was the salary of the three of them Give me a person, I may not be able to make the determination to leave. The three engineers did not do very well afterwards. The boss of the company wanted me to go back through a supplier, but I declined. This is a later story, so I won’t talk about it.

We definitely hope that we jump as better as possible, whether you are fully prepared before jumping.

6. Talk about the interview

In my career in the past ten years, I only had four or five interview opportunities. The interview pass rate was high, and I had some experience to share with you. When I first entered the workplace, I was blind when I submitted my resume. Now think about it, there is no need to fight a battle prepared.

Do your homework before the interview. As for clothing, manners and other basic etiquette, I won’t talk much about it. To talk from a professional perspective, you need to have a certain understanding of the products of the company you are going to interview, including its customers. If you have the opportunity, it is better to be able to inquire or understand the content of related projects. This requires you to be in the industry or that company. There are insiders in the company. I used to prepare some possible questions the day before the interview. I spent 3 hours preparing some possible questions. I practiced how to answer the possible questions in the mirror at home, trying to be brief and concise.

Be clear if the person interviewing you is a professional or an HR HR specialist, then the content you prepare should be focused. If you are going to an interview with a more formal and well-known company in the industry, my approach is to tell the truth. Then, why did you leave your current company? I directly answer that I am not satisfied with my current salary and position. I like to sincerely tell others what I have done and what I can do.

When asked about my shortcomings and shortcomings, I also frankly told me that my English expression skills are not good and I am quick to do things. At the same time, I will also add some information. I have not given up on learning English, and I am also starting to cultivate myself. Another point is the mentality during the interview. You may need this job in particular. This kind of psychological hint will make you extremely nervous. Especially in that particular interview scenario, you are sitting on the opposite side with four or five serious expressions. The interviewers who succeeded or failed in this interview came with professional questions one by one, and some of them might be problem traps. Will be nervous involuntarily. My strategy is to prepare answers, prepare answers to possible questions, and remember to prepare answers in Chinese and English. You will not panic when you meet a foreigner.

One more point, don’t think that you are asking someone to give you a job. The interview is actually talking about cooperation, but you, as Party B, are just an individual. Don’t try to show yourself unrestrainedly. Some words can stop there. Some preparations for professional knowledge can’t be mastered in a few days. It requires your usual accumulation. Generally, formal companies have their own salary system. If they want you, they will indicate your benefits in the offer. If they are inappropriate, you can refuse. There is absolutely no need to ask for prices during the interview. Consider the following factors:

3. Your salary status in the previous family

4. The position you are applying for.

The above experience is limited to large companies with very formal management (I am cautious about Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Japanese and private companies. These four types of companies are not considered in my career plan. Please forgive me for being extreme).

7. Talk about English and computers

First, make a clear understanding. These two things are tools, and tools are auxiliary equipment for improving efficiency and completing tasks with high quality when working. The definition of modern illiteracy is someone who does not understand English and computers. This is a bit exaggerated, but it also shows a truth: these two things are very important. People in the workplace should have a deep understanding of this.

Personally, I think that the auto industry will make great progress in China in the next 10-15 years. The Big Three in the US during the financial turmoil are undergoing severe tests. Their ability to resist risks is poor. One of the main reasons is that the design and production costs are too high. China, which has a huge market, will slowly transform from the role of a manufacturing center to a design center and R&D center. A large number of foreign R&D personnel and core technology research and development will gradually be transferred to China. Under this background, the importance of English has emerged. Many important materials are in English. If you want to learn from it, you have to master this. Door language. You and I will be the mainstays in this great change.

Opportunities are only for those who are prepared. Your necessary weapon cannot be without English. You can speak more realistically. When you look at the recruitment information, the salary will not be very low for positions that have certain requirements for the ability to use English. My English is not good, and several opportunities just slipped away. Up to now, my English level is still not ideal, but to be able to communicate with foreign parties, to truly master it, there is no other way, but to strive for all opportunities to practice, especially listening and speaking. If you have foreign aid in your team, that would be the best. You will have a lot of opportunities to exercise and improve.

In the jar, there are often young friends who say that they are proficient in professional software such as P/E, UG, CATIA, etc., so that they can become a mechanical engineer or an automotive engineer. As far as I know, these professional softwares are extensive and profound. Even professionals from the original factory may not be familiar with every module. These softwares are very good professional tools. If you are just a design engineer, you only need to use a few common modules, such as modeling, assembly, drawing, finite element analysis, sheet metal, mold flow analysis, and piping. Layout (wiring harness layout), free-form surface, etc., take the modeling of a simple part as an example. Some engineers start to work when they get a task. Without a clear idea, they should make the sketch first, which feature to build first, and which feature to do later. I think of it and do it. Even the sketch is not completely constrained.

With the different modifications of the part features, a very simple part will end up, which takes up a lot of memory. Because there is no clear idea, it will cause a lot of trouble for others to modify in the future. The idea of ​​modeling is far more important than operating a certain command. Don’t be greedy for software mastery. Different software have the same ideas. If you are proficient in one kind of other software, you can learn by analogy, and you don’t need to spend a lot of energy.

8. Talk about details to determine success or failure

Different industries have different requirements for people. I always believe that different industries have the same requirements for practitioners. That is to pay attention to details, especially for engineers and technicians in the automotive industry. This is particularly important and ignored. Details, you may be one step away from success.

Many companies generally will not pursue the heavy penalties for you because you neglected a detail in the design and caused the loss. But we look at the problem from a professional point of view, and there are many places worthy of self-blame and review. To be honest, our growth and improvement of skills are, to a certain extent, the bill that the company pays to us. Thinking about it this way is also conducive to calming your mind.

For the localization of some products, we did not pass a careful comparison of materials, and did not do relevant tests, and we took it for granted to choose alternative materials, which would cause a major quality incident of batch recall. When doing structural design, there are some very inconspicuous institutions, you may think it is okay, but at the end of the batch, there will be problems of one kind or another. If we analyze the prototype carefully, record it in time and fully review it. If we analyze the possible situations with multiple interfaces in the data. Don’t drag the problem until the mold is opened, and many unnecessary losses will not occur. I think there is a sentence that can describe its essence very well, “a mouse poop makes a pot of soup broken.” This is the importance of attention to detail.

If you want to establish a professional image and prove your professional ability in your team, you have to think more carefully about some problems. I often feel that people who miss out and do not have the potential to be an engineer. Although the job of an engineer is a career, if you can incorporate your hobbies and passion for doing things, I think you will gradually feel from the bottom of your heart that this is your career.

9. Talk about team building and management

Don’t think that you are just an ordinary engineer. Team building and management are leaders’ tasks. On the contrary, we should prepare for ourselves in advance. Yes, now you are just an ordinary member of the team, without the responsibilities of team building and management, but things are always evolving, maybe one day, you will take on this responsibility, and make yourself some knowledge reserves! Of course, when that day comes, there will definitely be relevant training, but on weekdays, you can actually observe how the team building and management work is carried out. Which ones are good and which ones need to be improved? Imagine if you were a manager in charge, how would you mobilize the team’s work passion, work efficiency, and overall combat effectiveness?

Sometimes I often think that if all my team members are experienced and capable experts, they have almost mobilized the best resources of the company. If such an ideal team is formed. So is our team an invincible and invincible elite division? I don’t think it’s necessary. Talents are difficult to manage, especially high-quality talents. It is difficult to coordinate opinions from all parties, and it is easy to disagree and fail to perform at their best. Therefore, such an ideal team member configuration can not exert the maximum combat effectiveness, let alone an ideal team almost non-existent.

As we all know, there are experienced team members and some who have just entered the workplace. There are those who are procrastinated and have poor execution ability, and there are those who have strong professional skills but lack the spirit of teamwork. If you are responsible for the design of a project, you must first clarify the design task, design cycle, and list a matrix that includes the estimated workload and cost. This will determine how many people the team needs and how long the team will work. long. Don’t expect your team members to be veterans who have been in this industry for many years. In fact, new people are needed in the team. Furthermore, an excellent team manager has the responsibility of spreading and guiding. It is also very important that you have to be basically clear about the areas that your team members are best at, as well as their personality characteristics, so that you can know when you are doing task allocation.

But this does not mean that they should not intervene in what they are not good at. Sometimes the crossover of tasks can quickly make team members grow up quickly. The sharing of information between team members is very important. The sharing of some design information and resources can reduce costs and increase the awareness of cooperation to a certain extent.

In fact, a subsystem that each person is responsible for is not completely independent, and the work content has overlapping and overlapping parts. To a large extent, team management is the management of people, and the needs of people in different periods are different. But one thing is the same, that is, there is a need to be respected and recognized. Being an engineer, especially an engineer who has been an engineer for some years, is undeniable. There is a little lofty (or arrogant). If we arrange work in a manner that is almost an administrative order without sufficient consideration when making related work arrangements, the executive will be emotionally resistant. He may have a better solution, and he will not mention it. If we are arranging work, we have fully communicated with team members in advance and asked if there are difficulties and other requirements. He will have a feeling of being valued and respected, and doing things with such a feeling, the effect will be different. During the execution of the task, there must be appropriate status tracking and proactive support when necessary. Let the executor feel that you and him are completing this task together, and he is not fighting alone!

Some engineers have some good methods or techniques and refuse to share them. Even when others come to ask for advice, they have an attitude that I know, and I don’t want to talk to you. Worrying that others will learn and threaten yourself. This kind of thinking is actually ridiculous and very narrow. In team management, such an atmosphere cannot exist. I often teach a little brother who has not worked for a few years some very practical working methods. For example, some people often go empty-handed when they are in a meeting, thinking that they can listen to their ears and remember them in their hearts. As everyone knows, they leave the meeting room and go to the meeting. The toilet, your brain is empty, I ask my brother to bring a special work manual and pen to the meeting. I believe that a good memory is worse than a bad pen. When designing a very simple part, I always have to analyze with him what problems should be paid attention to when designing. After several times, he will not design a part for designing a part. He can express the intention of this design and consider the problem comprehensively. Our team has a monthly exchange meeting to exchange his work. Experience can also be other convenient.

This has a significant advantage, that is, a person’s experience becomes a team’s experience, and a person’s lesson becomes a team’s lesson, which can prevent similar problems from recurring.

10. Talk about learning

Many people have put forward the concept of lifelong learning. In this rapidly developing society, I think this term is particularly important. The automobile industry is a traditional industry, but at the same time, its technology is innovating every day. We may not be at the forefront of technology. Of talents, but we cannot be left behind. Everyone has the realistic pressure to support their families, if there is no hard power, plus age is not dominant. Sometimes when looking for another opportunity for development, it is very passive. How do you learn? I want to talk about my experience from two aspects.

Work is actually a learning process, and this kind of learning is low-cost, with ready-made resources, no time cost, and no economic cost.

To complete a project completely is to complete a learning cycle. Learning design ability, learning team management, and even learning operating skills in software. Just work on the project with your heart and think about the problem with your brain. You will grow and improve along with the project. I like to ask others questions, and others are happy to teach me. This may be related to our corporate culture. This other person can be your boss, your supplier, or your customer. It can also be a newcomer who just left school. Don’t feel that it is shameful to ask someone who is less qualified than you in many ways. Don’t think that others will look down on you. If they don’t, and you can’t ask others humbly, that can only be understood as a lack of confidence. , Immature performance. When someone asks me for a question, I am happy to explain it to others, or try my best to explain it seriously. At the same time, I am very happy to be able to help others.

Why not do this kind of gifting roses and leaving the fragrance in your hands. When communicating relevant technical details with suppliers, they may be experts in that field. There are many cases that we have never contacted, and there are many technical details that we may overlook. These are things we can learn from. I attach great importance to it and cherish the opportunity to communicate with suppliers. I regard it as an opportunity for me to learn and improve. Every time I go to a supplier, I will bring a camera and a notebook. In their workshop, I will see a lot of tooling, inspection tools and equipment. I will ask to understand that such equipment is suitable for such workpieces and how efficient is the production. These are very helpful for design.

The engineer must have the meaning to thoroughly understand the problem and try to go as far as possible. For some technical issues, it can’t be almost the same, the difference is almost the same. If there is an impact, what are the impacts, whether the risk of the impact has been evaluated, and whether there is a test verification. The process of implementing each of these issues is a process of learning.

Another kind of learning is self-study. You can learn anything that you are interested in and think is valuable, instead of being stuck in the business.

I know a mechanical design engineer who also works in the automobile industry. He has a unique skill, that is, a piece of white paper and a pen. In a few minutes, he can express the mechanical structure he thought of in the form of axonometric drawings, lines The relationship between is very clear, which is very important in the preliminary discussion of the plan. A group of people discuss the plan in the meeting room (brainstorming). As long as you can tell your structure, he can express it on paper. It is amazing , I like to take him on business trips. When communicating with customers, we can come up with rough alternatives on the spot based on the customer’s description, and customers praise our company for its talents. It turns out that he likes to sketch, and he has some basic knowledge when he is reading. After work, he spends a lot of time studying sketching theory by himself. Such personal hobbies are cleverly connected with work. You won’t be bored in your spare time.

The improvement of your self-study ability also requires a process. At the beginning, you may be very uncomfortable, feel that you have no time, you are tired from work, go home to eat, sit on the sofa and watch TV for half an hour before falling asleep. Let yourself be involved in the fun of self-study, the previous questions are mostly not a problem. I just insist on learning a programming language and can compile some small programs to solve some design problems in my work. Of course, there are methods for self-study, which vary from person to person, and you need to slowly explore and experience.

You must remember that continuing to study is an important way to improve your comprehensive strength. Whether you can get a high salary and become a valuable talent in the industry depends on whether you can settle down and learn well.

11. Talk about managing your mouth

Mouth is a powerful tool for communication in the workplace. At the right time, facing the right audience, and speaking the right words, your mouth can help you establish an image and let others know you and understand you. But mouth is sometimes a double-edged one. Sword, he can also hurt you. On the wrong occasion, facing the wrong audience, and speaking inappropriate words, it may change the influence of others on you that is not too bad, and even affect your development. Beware of losing control of your mouth in the following situations:

1. Have a dinner with a good colleague, after a few glasses of wine. Start to express your own views on the company’s people and company affairs that you think are correct;

2. When reviewing your design, someone is picky (including professional opinions and personal emotions);

3. When you review other people’s plans or plans, don’t evaluate other people’s labor results with emotion because of some past events;

4. When everyone is chatting, when some people say that so and so is wrong, you join them and make comments;

5. The company implements a new system. If you are not used to it, you will make analysis and comments in the office, hoping to resonate with others. Or get involved;

6. In the face of enterprises, especially foreign companies and joint ventures, do not try to inquire about other people’s wages. It is very unwise and a taboo in the workplace;

7. At any time and anywhere, do not discuss the emotional and private lives of others. That is not where you should be concerned. You and him (her) only have a close working relationship. Before there is a closer personal relationship, such behavior is very boring.

We often see this kind of people. We don’t make any suggestions during the plan review and design review. They just come to participate. But when the sample proves that there is a problem with the design afterwards, we will say it without shame. I knew it! What it should be, such people are often despised. We should express our views and suggestions when we are speaking. What should we say and how should we say at a specific work meeting? This is very knowledgeable:

1. Don’t try to express yourself, grab the topic and talk about your opinions;

2. Try not to be the first to speak, and not too late after listening to others’ speeches;

3. Quickly list the main points of your speech on the draft paper;

4. Try to avoid similarities or simple repetitions with others;

5. If your point of view is not accurate or you are not sure, then do not mention it. It is possible that as soon as your point of view is raised, others will ask you a few questions in depth, and you will be speechless;

6. You must be fully prepared to speak, and it is best to be prepared how to answer other people’s questions;

7. Don’t think about where to talk when you speak, remember to be very clear and organized, so that others can understand what you are going to say, and have one, two, three, very clear ideas;

8. If you are the designer in charge organizing a meeting, and there are related personnel from various departments (purchasing, quality inspection, manufacturing, etc.), you must remember to discuss issues related to other departments and discuss clearly and thoroughly, otherwise the following They may not come at the next meeting;

9. When someone asks you about the relevant parameters, don’t talk about language such as general, left and right, and almost the same. That is not the rigorous language that engineers should have. If you don’t know, just check it out and talk about it.

12. Talk about how to hold meetings

Meetings are a form of formal communication channel. Through meetings, we solve problems, arrange work, make plans and make decisions, which are important means to promote the project to reach the goal.

However, we can see in reality that a large number of project managers, engineers, due to various reasons: a bit of bureaucracy, or lack of basic management communication skills, or too professional temperament, … many meetings, It is inefficient, and it can even be said to be ineffective. The results of meetings are often not solving problems and arranging work, but there is no result at all! Even disputes and contradictions have occurred! My former company manager X spent a few days contacting, confirming, and repeatedly postponing, and finally organized a “project plan review meeting”. Because it is the most important meeting in this type of project, all project members, including the company’s A total of more than 30 people from internal experts and external experts participated in this meeting (first of all, the scale of this meeting is questionable in terms of purpose).

At the meeting, PM explained the preliminary opinions of the project team. During the process, they were constantly interrupted by those experts. After the interruption, PM discovered that they were not very clear about the background of the project. There is no performance, the most important thing is to prepare before the meeting. When the participants know little about the background, the plan, etc., this problem will first appear. More importantly, when the two sides have set their respective positions, what is your PM? Stick to your own, or listen to them?) After finally introducing and explaining the plan, start the discussion! Many experts began to ask many questions. Because they were all “experts”, they had to speak, and they had to be wonderful, and they had to make the PM gain something. Therefore, the solution became useless under such an “attack”, everyone. Meetings naturally have corporate politics, but never put such ideas in tactical and technical meetings to solve specific problems! And many of our technology companies cannot get rid of this shackle, thinking that the meeting is to strengthen power and fight opponents. What will happen! The various meetings in the project process are to solve specific problems. There can be no so-called authority here, only professional excitement. The more you do this, the more exciting and fruitful! However, the political atmosphere of all meetings of domestic companies is too strong and has spread to the project meetings!

We have done such a thing. Together with 7 or 8 clients, we had a meeting at 9 o’clock to discuss a problem, and finally there was no result at 12 o’clock. The main problem was that the leader Ninirang could not make decisions. , Or left or right, and feel the best to not move! Everyone does not know how to deal with it, and they are exhausted! Finally it was our turn to speak. We took the computer and calculated while talking. The daily salary here is 3,000 yuan. After half a day, it is 1,500 yuan. No result is a net loss. According to the company’s gross profit, it needs to achieve 15,000. Only orders can recover the loss of this morning meeting.

Of course, there is no computer cost here, because everyone here has their own position. If you don’t participate in this conference, you can gain benefits or reduce costs in other ways, especially the loss of opportunity cost of several senior managers! We paid this price, what result did we get? Nothing happens—nothing!

We can find such a problem. In meetings with leaders, everyone doesn’t speak too much, just wait to set the tone! A meeting without a leader is at stake! What is a good meeting? For some reasons, people do not say whether this is smart or unprofessional. 13. Talk about customers

Supplier relationship management. Engineers who travel frequently have this experience. When you go to the client to talk about work, you feel a lot of pressure. You are afraid that the client will embarrass you. You are afraid that you will bring back a lot of work when you come back from a business trip. With the client, your accommodation, and your three meals People take care of you, and you take a taxi when you travel. But when you go to the supplier, the situation seems to be completely opposite. Someone will pick you up, some will accompany you to a big meal, and some will give you local specialties. You can also arrange what the supplier does. They treat you as a guest, and you may also Enjoy this treatment. This is why many people in the workplace prefer to travel to suppliers.

We need to clarify the relationship between our customers, suppliers and us. Simply put, it is a cooperative relationship or a partnership, which means equality and mutual benefit. We must learn from senior public relations experts and senior after-sales service engineers. I often come into contact with suppliers in injection molding, stamping, casting, and machining. In the final analysis, dealing with suppliers is dealing with their engineers. Everyone knows that dealing with people is suitable for knowledgeable things. I often think of asking my supplier for help when I am not sure about the process (feasibility of manufacturing, whether the cost can be reduced, and whether the quality is controllable) when I finish designing a part. Our supplier engineers are happy To help me, if he has good suggestions, he will also communicate with me, which will make my design perfect. This move gives the supplier the feeling that you treat them as experts and as your work instructors. This is professional respect. Another point is that he thinks you are very dedicated, serious, and comprehensive. If you design the parts, the supplier can’t do it at all, or their equipment can’t do it. That is tantamount to giving them problems. Don’t think that if you ask them questions, you are incompetent, you just don’t have the strength, no one will think that way. In a certain field, we have to admit that others are more professional than us. This is not an embarrassment. On the contrary, the supplier respects you and recognizes you.

It is also necessary to have an attitude and a respectful tone for suppliers and customers. This is easy to overlook when dealing with suppliers. In the office, if someone can clearly tell whether you are calling a customer or a supplier, then your attitude may be worth noting. Use a negotiating tone to communicate issues with your suppliers, and never yell or yell at others on the phone. When the supply is not timely, and the quality is problematic. Pay attention to restrain your emotions. This is the embodiment of your professionalism and personal charm.

Customers are our God, but I would like to say that treating God is not a good one. If you are a professional manufacturer and your customer is a car manufacturer, the customer’s engineer may not understand your technology very well. Some of the requirements they sometimes put forward may be If it can’t be achieved at all, you should not rush to accept their request, but find out the relevant basis, tactfully deny their request on the right occasion, and propose your own feasible solution. Convince them to adopt. This is customer guidance.

Technicians may write more emails about technical communication. The recipients of the emails may also be engineers and technicians who only discuss some technical issues with each other. Then, in the email, do you have a clear description of the technical issues? Have you found the root cause? Are there any proposed solutions? Are there PPT or related pictures to describe the problem? At first glance, it is clear and rigorous in reasoning. The proposed measures are also feasible. There is also a small technical issue that needs to be paid attention to. To whom is the mailer sent and to whom. This is still somewhat knowledgeable. If the email is sent to the wrong person, it is not only a waste of network resources, but sometimes unnecessary trouble. We have to admit that China is an official-based country, and the rankings in the mail are particular about it. Of course, wholly foreign-owned enterprises need not consider this. It’s a bit far away.

Another good opportunity for performance is to perform moderately in a meeting. Pay attention, it must be moderate, otherwise you will be despised. A few points are worth noting:

6), distinguish one’s own role in this meeting, the amount of speech and the range of performance should be moderate. Don’t blindly position yourself as the protagonist.

7). Don’t make presumptuous comments on other people’s speeches, just talk about your own ideas, especially when someone questions your speech, don’t be emotional in your tone and attitude, that is not the performance of a good professional. To reflect a kind of accomplishment and generosity.

8). There is no core point of view, just an extension on the basis of other people’s point of view, or just a slight change of other people’s point of view, which is suspected of plagiarism.

We often overlook that a business trip is also an opportunity to express ourselves. Business trips are carried out with tasks. Do you have a thorough understanding of the background of the problem you are trying to solve? Have you read the relevant documents and information once. Do you have a plan or idea of ​​your own? If the first plan cannot be realized, have you prepared an alternative plan? Are these plans fully communicated with your team or manager?

To ensure that the work can progress, do you need other support resources? Also, you must confirm your travel itinerary with your customers or suppliers before departure (including time arrangements and a list of participants). It saves you from rushing there, others don’t know about it or there is no arrangement at all. I have encountered such an incident. One of our suppliers was in Shanghai with us. She and I had an appointment with me to visit me at 10 am on which day, and I accepted. At 9:50 that day, she called me and told me that she was now at the west gate of our company and asked me to pick her up. Many engineers, especially design engineers, although they have several years of working experience, they don’t really work in the workshop for a long time. I have a certain understanding of the defects and cause analysis of the parts. This is something that I can’t learn in books and before the computer. I will just talk about the product defects of the casting process. For castings, the main defects are:

1. There is slag inclusion on the upper surface of the casting. The main reasons are that the proportion of return material is too high, the barrel is not clean, and the design of the casting system has no slag blocking function.

2. There are cracks on the surface of the casting. The possible reasons are unreasonable part design, too thin wall, too high casting temperature, and overheated heat treatment.

3. The casting shrinkage is caused by the poor feeding effect of the riser; too much gas content in the charge; overheating near the inner runner, too much moisture in the sand mold, and the sand core is not dried; the alloy grain is coarse; the casting is in the mold Improper location; pouring temperature is too high, pouring speed is too fast. 4) Air bubbles in the pores, the casting alloy is not stable, and the gas is involved; the mold (core) sand is mixed with organic impurities; the mold and the sand core are poorly ventilated; the surface of the cold iron has shrinkage holes, and the pouring system is poorly designed.

In those few years, I can feel that my professional ability has greatly improved, but I have also paid a lot for all this. In order to catch up with the progress, I often stayed up late to solve problems with suppliers. In the auto parts industry, it is generally necessary to make prototypes to verify the design before the design is finalized. This is a good opportunity to verify your design. You can find many problems that cannot be found in your computer. Many people do not pay attention to this. It’s a process, or just for the sake of work, instead of working hard with the idea of ​​verifying the design and finding problems. My approach is to record every problem you encounter during the prototype process.
