Introduction: Do you know what driving methods are available for AGVs? Today I will explain to you the commonly used drivers currently on the market.
(1) Single drive for three-wheel models: one drive and steering wheel, and two fixed driven wheels (distributed on both sides of the car body axis). This type of vehicle can move forward, backward, turn left and right (turning angle less than 90 °). Due to the good grip of the three-wheel structure, the requirements on the ground surface are general, suitable for a wide range of environments and occasions.
(2) Differential drive, there are two types of three-wheel and four-wheel models: two fixed drive wheels (distributed on both sides of the body axis), one (three-wheel model) or two (four-wheel models) driven free wheel , The turn is achieved by the speed difference between the two drive wheels. This type of vehicle can move forward, backward, turn left and right (turn angle greater than 90 °), spin in place, and the adaptability of turning is stronger than single drive. In the case of a three-wheeled vehicle, the applicability to the ground surface is similar to that of a single drive. If it is a four-wheel model, it is easy to cause one of the wheels to hang and affect navigation, so it has strict requirements on the flatness of the ground surface, and the scope of application is limited.
(4) Multi-wheel drive for eight-wheel models: four driving and steering wheels, four driven free wheels. This type of vehicle can move forward, backward, and in all directions. It is used in heavy-duty industry transportation, with complex structure and high cost.
